MLUG IRC Information

Jonathan Challiet has graciously offered his IRC server to MLUG:

Server	irc.milwaukeelug.org Port 6667
Channel	#mlug

There are only a few simple rules for the server/network:

Illegal activities will not be tolerated.
Abusive conduct will not be tolerated. Please be civil.
Channels designated as Private or Secret are just that. Please respect the wishes of channel founders.

This is a great way to keep in touch in an instant way!

Here is a bit of information to get you started:

"#" means "channel" in IRC-speak

all IRC commands start with "/":

/connect irc.milwaukeelug.org	connects to irc.milwaukeelug.org
/join #mlug	joins #mlug
/nick some_nick	changes your nick ("screen name") to "some_nick"
